This is my personal web site, serving primarily as an archive for my publicly available articles. Major articles are listed to the left, while additional articles can be found under the by Topic and by Date tabs above.

Digital Needs is the working title for a book on consumer facing digital technology. The intent of the book is: 1) to describe the consumer’s requirements of such technology, 2) to prescribe a technical, commercial and legal implementation to meet these requirements, and 3) to provide a workable path to achieve that implementation. Several excerpts from the work are available.

Transformational Technologies include: nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, robotics, genetic engineering, cloning, etc. These technologies, while long lying in the realm of science fiction, are now moving closer to reality and are creating ethical dilemmas and civil dangers. I provide several survey articles on this topic.

Ethical Syndromes were described by Jane Jacobs in her book Systems of Survival. I propose an additional syndrome and relate it to transtech issues and politics.

Grist is the name of my personal philosophy. I provide a brief summary of its view of metaphysics and epistemology.
